Start with the page and the service

Choose the actual page that should help a customer arrange a particular job. A homepage listing many services may not answer the same questions as a focused boiler-repair page. Look for useful, accurate information rather than a target word count.

Does the page say what you do, where you genuinely work and how someone can enquire? Do not invent qualifications, emergency availability or locations to make the page look stronger.

Five checks before paying anyone

  1. Find the page from the homepage. Follow the links a customer would use. A relevant service should not depend on knowing a hidden URL.
  2. Read its title and main heading. Check that they describe this page rather than a different service or a generic “Home”.
  3. Verify the real service area. Describe where you actually operate. Do not create dozens of near-identical town pages just to target searches.
  4. Separate indexing from ranking. Use Search Console where available. Read the indexing checks guide before assuming a penalty.
  5. Test the mobile enquiry route. Make sure a visitor can contact you. This is useful on its own; a broken button is not proof of a ranking penalty.

Google Maps is a separate scope

Your website’s pages and your Google Business Profile are related parts of a business presence, but they are not the same service. Do not assume that a website audit includes profile access, review management, local-pack work or Maps management.

The SEO Fix Pack does not include any Google Business Profile / Maps management. If that is the work you need, choose a provider with that explicit scope.

Do not confuse more pages with more help

A genuinely useful page should answer a distinct customer need. Changing only the town name across many pages does not establish new value. Google’s doorway-abuse guidance is a reason to avoid pages made mainly to funnel similar searches to the same destination.

For broader principles, see Google’s people-first content guidance. Neither source promises a position for a particular plumber website.

What the five-URL pack can help with

For £149 once, no VAT, the pack reviews 1–5 selected public pages and produces up to three evidence-backed tickets, a 30-day action order and HTML + PDF. It gives instructions for you or your developer; no changes are made for you. Fewer than three issues, including a clean-site result, are legitimate outcomes.

When to choose something else

Skip this pack if you need all changes implemented, Google Business Profile management, urgent migration or penalty recovery, or a guarantee of more jobs. Those needs are outside its scope. First work out where enquiries may be getting lost and what different audit scopes cover.
