All page observations below are invented to demonstrate the deliverable. No website has been tested. This sample is fictional and organisation-attributed; it is not a named-practitioner endorsement.
Your priorities
A useful report distinguishes what was observed from what is inferred. These three illustrative tickets show that difference. A real pack may contain fewer than three tickets, or no material fixes.
| Page | Example checks | Limits |
|---|---|---|
| / | Service links and contact path | No analytics access |
| /boiler-repairs/ | Title and service clarity | No ranking assessment |
| /heating/ | Page links and content | No whole-site crawl |
| /about/ | Business information | Credentials not verified |
| /contact/ | Mobile enquiry path | No real form submitted |
Make your service clear
- What we observed
- The example /boiler-repairs/ page has the title “Home | Example Plumbing”, while its main heading describes boiler repairs. Illustration recorded 28 September 2026; no live fetch.
- Why it may matter
- The title does not accurately describe this page. Google recommends descriptive, concise title text. Search engines may choose a different title link; a title edit does not guarantee a ranking change.
- What to change
- Replace the generic title with a concise, accurate description, such as “Boiler repairs in [actual service area] | [business name]”. Use only a service and area genuinely covered.
- Who can do it
- The owner with access to the page settings, or the website developer.
- How to check
- Publish, open the live page and inspect its title. Confirm the wording matches the service and is not accidentally copied to every page.
- What we cannot tell
- Whether Google will use the new title, or whether rankings, clicks or enquiries will change.
- Evidence grade
- Fictional page observation; recommendation supported by Google’s title-link guidance.
Connect the right pages
- What we observed
- The example homepage mentions heating services but has no ordinary link to /heating/ in the reviewed navigation or text.
- Why it may matter
- Visitors need a clear path to a relevant service. Crawlable links can also help search engines discover pages. This is not proof the page is unindexed.
- What to change
- Add a useful text link labelled “Heating services” in the relevant homepage section. Use an ordinary anchor with the correct page URL, not a button that only runs JavaScript.
- Who can do it / how to check
- The owner or developer. Open the link on desktop and mobile, confirm it goes to the intended page, and test it with a keyboard.
- Uncertainty and source
- No claim about link authority or rankings. See Google’s crawlable-links guidance.
Make the next step easier
- What we observed
- In the fictional mobile layout, the contact link is obscured by a floating banner. This is a usability observation, not a diagnosed SEO ranking cause.
- What to change
- Ask the developer to prevent the banner overlapping the contact link at narrow widths. Keep a clearly labelled contact route available.
- How to check
- Test the live page at phone widths, keyboard-tab to the link and follow it. With the business’s permission, submit a clearly labelled test enquiry and confirm receipt.
- What we cannot tell
- We cannot estimate lost enquiries or promise a conversion improvement. A working path alone does not create demand.
Next 30 days
| When | Action | Record |
|---|---|---|
| Days 1–7 | Save a baseline; update the inaccurate page title. | Old/new title, URL and change date. |
| Days 8–14 | Add and test the service-page link. | Destination and keyboard/mobile checks. |
| Days 15–21 | Resolve the overlapping contact banner. | Before/after screenshots and receipt of an authorised test. |
| Days 22–30 | Recheck the three changes. Note limitations. | Implementation results, not promised search gains. |
Track changes rather than attributing every movement to a fix. Search comparisons need a suitable baseline and at least a four-week observation window; seasonality, demand and other changes may affect results.
No material fixes justified within this scope
The selected pages have descriptive titles, usable service links and a clear contact path in this example. No material fix tickets are justified by the checks shown. This does not certify the entire site or guarantee search performance.
Keep the sound elements, retest contact routes after updates and record changes. The report would list what was checked, the evidence and remaining uncertainty. We do not invent three problems to fill a pack.
